The Nemedussa project includes the establishment of a Pan-African Nematology Network (Panema) and aims to promote networking and academic exchange between nematologists in Africa, who are often working in isolation (Cortada et al. 2019). The focus will be on sharing good educational practices, creating networks between HEIs to apply for educational projects and additional learning opportunities. The 1st PANEMA workshop took place in Eldoret, Kenya from 23-25 February 2022. This workshop was hosted by Moi University.
The 2nd PANEMA workshop took place from 1-3 March 2023 in Mbombela, South Africa and was hosted by associated partner, the University of Mpumalanga.
The 3rd PANEMA workshop, held in Cotonou, Benin, from 12-13 March 2024, was hosted by Université d’Abomey-Calavi, Benin.
