The Nemedussa project includes the establishment of a Pan-African Nematology Network (Panema) and aims to promote networking and academic exchange between nematologists in Africa, who are often working in isolation (Cortada et al. 2019). The focus will be on sharing good educational practices, creating networks between HEIs to apply for educational projects and additional learning opportunities. Activities during the Nemedussa project period are:

  • Hosting webinars (12 per year)
  • Two workshops in February 2022 and November 2023 (subject to change) and travel grants available for young educators in nematology.
  • Introduce innovative e-learning tools in English and French through the Nematology Digital Learning Platform
  • Sharing news on several digital platforms to agglutinate nematologists within Africa and expanding the network with nematologists globally
  • Developing one sustainability plan for the organisation of activities after the NEMEDUSSA project

The 1st PANEMA workshop will take place in Eldoret, Kenya from 23-25 February 2022. Check the events calendar for more information and registration.
